Mudderella 2015

On July 25, 2015, I completed my first Mudderella at High Point Farms in Clarksburg, MD. What’s a Mudderella? This was a six-mile course designed to test your stamina through the fields, woods, streams and plenty of mud along the way. In addition, ten obstacles were constructed to test your strength and resolve in completing the course. The event primarily targeted women, but there were plenty of men to join in the muddy fun. If this sounds like a good way to spend a day with friends and loved ones, then I would highly recommend it. Here are some photos taken of me at the event:

The first photo was taken before climbing the obstacle called New Heights, the 2nd photo – I’m climbing up on New Heights, the third photo I’m climbing down the obstacle called Tough Tatas, and the fourth photo I’m soaking wet after going down the water slide and into a pool of muddy water known as the Hat Trick.

For the event, I wore my Grizzly Gramps t-shirt with logo designed by my daughter Kelsey, and printed by my good friend Angie of Grannies Attic in Gettysburg, PA.

The next mud event will be the Mud Dog Run – Zombie Edition. Hope to see you there!
